This Sunday, September 17, join Three Rooms Press at the Brooklyn Book Festival! We'll be at Booth 205, showing books new and old. Every hour we'll be raffling off one book; simply leave your name and email, and we'll notify you if you've won the drawing. Stop by to say hello and enter to win a free book!

Also, be sure to stop by Booth 628 to learn more about the low residency MFA program at Pacific University!

New Articles on DIY MFA

Check out my latest pieces on the publishing industry, now up on DIY MFA! "Why You Should Give an Indie Press a Chance" tells of the advantages of publishing with small, passionate presses (such as Three Room Press!) and "Ten Do's and Don'ts of Query Letters" will help you write the best, most persuasive query letter to keep your prospective editor reading. Happy reading!

Meagan Brothers, author of Weird Girl and What's His Name

On Friday, October 30, author Meagan Brothers will be reading from Weird Girl and What's His Name at the Hudson Valley Writers' Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY, for which I occasionally do graphic design. The reading starts at 7:30 p.m. and costs $10.

The Hudson Valley Writers Center describes the event:

A reading in collaboration with Three Rooms Press. Meagan Brothers reads from her recently published LGBT-Young Adult novel, Weird Girl and What’s His Name, about friendship and finding your place in the world.

Tickets can be purchased here. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Afterward, you can stay to chat with the Press and Meagan, or partake of Sleepy Hollow's annual Halloween traditions. Hope to see you there!
